THE HELLCAT INDEPTH

Dodge Hellcat lineup

The Dodge Challenger is part of American Muscle Car history. It has been around for over 40 years, and over the last five Americans have fallen in love with the Challenger all over again. The Hellcat is no exception, it’s style, power (707 horsepower) and looks meets all the muscle car requirements.

Dodge sales have almost Doubled in that period, and continuing this new found interest in the brand for 2015 Dodge have built a new Challenger.[su_pullquote align=”right”]”This beast starts just under $28,000 for base models seriously, that’s all. The same price as a well equipped sedan.”[/su_pullquote]

They gave us the fastest most powerful muscle car ever built. Dodge squeezed 707 horses in the engine, and surpassed the Ferrari FF. Uniquely the car comes with two keys: one for the street and one for the track.

The black key is the everyday driving key, it allows the driver access to 500 of the available horsepower.

The red key (CAUTION RED FOR DANGER) releases all 707 horsepower. However, we at Test Miles must warn you that this power can quickly become overwhelming and get out of control.

There are over 270 different vehicle models on sale in the United States from 40 different auto manufacturers, the Challenger offers something unique and very different for a starting price about the same as a mid level family sedan.

Dodge call it the funnest car you will ever drive. It’s loud, obnoxious, and sounds like a monster was just released on Earth. Push the Hellcat version of the Challenger hard on the racetrack and that power will eat up 1.5 gallons of fuel a minute if you drive it at its full potential. Tone it down and relax, and you can get as much as 20 miles per gallon.

For the 2015 Model a new interior, 7 inch optional touch screen, $3,500 of new upgrades which include 20″ wheels standard on every V8 model.

The new exterior evolved from the 2014 model with a more tailored look, and is based off design cues from the 1971 challenger.

This beast starts just under $28,000 for base models seriously, that’s all. The same price as a well equipped sedan. However the Hellcat, all 707HP starts at under $60,000 but even that is a bargan, especially to be the coolest and fastest person in the city. Dodge, hurry up and take my money!

Stop by our Facebook page and let us know what you would do with 707 horses at your disposal
