This month Alfa Romeo celebrates 105 years as a car company, and part of that celebration is their return to America as a car company. Earlier this week Alfa Romeo unveiled the new Giulia over in Milan. This is the car that Alfa Romeo says they are bringing back to the United states to take on the German’s especially the 3 series from BMW. It’s a relaunch of the company and a rebirth of their product. Alfa Romeo pulled out all the tops in Italy when introducing this new car. The event was worthy of a world cup opening ceremony. Blind opera singer Andrea Bocelli sang the car onto the stage with Nessun Dorma followed by presentation by the Fiat Chrysler chairman Sergio Marchionne. This new Alfa Romeo Giulia is being postioned to take on the Germans manufacturers Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
It is one of eight cars that will come from the company over the next three years. This 4 door sports sedan is slightly bigger than a BMW M3, with the longest wheelbase in its class, it is headed right at the competition. Only motoring enthusiast know much about Alfa Romeo, know as more of a racing persons car Alfa Romeo will turn the lights on in over 100 US dealerships over the next few years. Alfa Romeo want us to know that this car has been created and is not merely made. The stats for the car are even more impressive than the looks. The top of the line Alfa Romeo Giulia will have rear wheel drive or AWD. It will have completely new suspension, frame and engines including a top of the line 510 horsepower engine.

Along with the launch of the car, Alfa Romeo reopened its car museum exactly 105 years to the day that the first car rolled off the production line in 1910. The museum is filled with some of the greatest race cars and design icons from the company’s Italian History that will soon have a new chapter and the company shears it’s cars with America.
